Chicken Garden Ornament With Dangling Legs
Chicken Garden Ornament With Dangling Legs
Details
Those first few minutes of watering the pots go a bit quicker when a wide-eyed chicken is staring at you from the edge of the raised bed.
A plain wooden ledge or bare shelf can look a bit empty, even when the plants around it are doing well. This chicken sits on the edge and lets its rope legs dangle down, so it looks as if it has just popped up for a rest. The round dark body with white spots stands out against green leaves and bright flowers. The big eyes and orange beak give it a cheeky face that people tend to notice first.
Why is this chicken garden ornament so popular?
- Googly eyes: The oversized eyes give the chicken a funny, wide-eyed expression that catches the eye straight away.
- Rope legs: The legs dangle down from the body, so the chicken can sit on a ledge, rail or shelf edge.
- Spotted body: The dark, round body is dotted with white spots and looks good next to flowers and leaves.
Ideal for:
Gardeners who like a bit of humour among the plants, anyone with a raised bed or potting bench to brighten up and balcony owners with a rail or ledge to fill.
Can I put it indoors as well as outside?
Yes, it works for both. You can sit it on an indoor shelf or on a planter edge, patio wall or balcony rail.
How big is it?
It is 28.0 cm high and 8.4 cm wide, so it suits small ledges and shelves.
Where does it sit best?
It is made to perch on an edge with its rope legs hanging down. A planter rim, raised bed edge or shelf all work well.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 227 g, so it is easy to carry and move around.
